

Jack Travis (J.T.) Bostick aka as Apple Jack and Uncle Wacky, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2014 in Florence, Texas at the home of his sister Shirley Simpson after a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born October 4, 1940. Jack was 73 years old.
Jack grew up in Manor and Austin, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin High School and later moved to Orange Grove, Texas where he worked for many years for an oil company based in Corpus Christi, Texas. After retiring from that company, Jack moved back to Austin and worked for Capital Aggregate for a number of years. After leaving Capital Aggregate Jack moved to Delhi, Louisana near his brother, Wayne where he made many new friends and acquired the nick-name Apple Jack from the children there. Jack's last years were spent near Florence, Texas with his sister, Shirley.
Jack is survived by one sister, Shirley Simpson and husband Wilburn Simpson of Florence, Texas; two brothers, Lee Wayne Bostick of Monroe, Louisana and Travis Elwood Bostick of Boise, Idaho; many nieces and nephews including great and great-great. The little ones gave him the name Uncle Wacky and he loved it.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Travis and Helen Marie Bostick; brothers, Victor Lee Bostick and Luther Ray Bostick, and one son Robert Lloyd Bostick of Colorado Springs, Colorado who passed away on March 11, 2014 after a bad fall.
The family would like to thank Girling Hospice for all of their support and help during this long ordeal. At Jack's request, there will be no formal service. His wish was that we have a small family gathering at a later date, so we will honor his wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Girling Hospice, formerly Gentiva Hospice.
