

James Latham Martin, born on April 14, 1964, passed away on October 29, 2024, in Austin, Texas. Known for his altruistic, selfless, and intelligent nature, James left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
James pursued higher education at the University of Texas and Southwestern University, establishing a strong foundation for his future endeavors. His professional life spanned over 3 decades in advertising. Starting at GSD&M, he quickly worked his way to Senior Vice President of Marketplace Planning. For twenty years, he was instrumental in the company’s growth and establishment as one of the country’s largest and most respected agencies. More recently, he continued his work in advertising as a founder and CSO of both Vender and Public & Company.
Outside of his professional life, James was passionate about University of Texas sports, golfing, and traveling with his wife. These hobbies provided him with much joy and relaxation, and they were avenues through which he formed many cherished friendships.
James is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Torri Weathersby; his mother, Suzan Martin; brothers, Matthew Martin and Mark (Paige) Martin; and his nephew, Dylan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Martin. James' family and friends will miss him deeply and cherish the memories they made together.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James's memory to a charity of one's choice, honoring his life and legacy.
