Jane Guerrero Sanchez, 83, of Austin, died on February 13, 2013. She was born to the late Anastacio Guerrero and Ida Oyevides Guerrero on September 2, 1929, in Austin, Texas. Jane married Raymond M. Sanchez on February 19, 1949. She lived in Austin for all her 83 years.
She is survived by her husband Raymond M. Sanchez, her children, Michael Raymond Sanchez and wife Mona Sanchez of Austin and granddaughter, Mary Katherine Sanchez, Patricia Laura Troiano and husband Lewis Troiano of Austin, and Janet Rene Sanchez and husband Robert Clark of New York City; her sister Lorraine McInnis and husband Donel McInnis of Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
Jane loved Austin, and was an avid football fan and rarely missed a UT game. She was a cheerleader of the heart and to watch a game with her was a lesson in spirit and loyalty. Jane could also tear up the dance floor and with her beloved husband, Raymond, by her side, they were memorable. She loved to have her family near and took every moment to celebrate holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. In the kitchen, the heart of her home, is where she most expressed her love and devotion with her expertise and the aromas that could never be forgotten.
Jane had many wonderful friends, some life-long, others recently found. She was so grateful to all of her friends and family for their expressed love and concern throughout her illness.
For everything we have shared, laughed, and cried with you will forever remain in our hearts. It was truly our honor.
