Janice D. Woosley

Janice D. Woosley, age 77, of Lago Vista passed away on August 24, 2013. She was born in Denver, Co., the daughter of Robert F. and Faye K. Davies. The family moved to Beaumont, Texas and grew to include sisters Judy Biglow of Wisconsin and Jeanne Davies of Beaumont. Janice graduated from Beaumont High School in 1953. She graduated from Lamar State College of Technology, now Lamar University, with a BS in Mathematics. It was there she met her soul mate Bobby Dee Woosley. They graduated in 1956, married June 2 and made their home in Lake Jackson, Texas. Bob began his long career at Dow Chemical and Janice began a fulfilling career as a High School math teacher, first at Brazosport High and then Brazoswood High School. She retired in 1977. Bob and Janice and their children, Steven, Sandra and Scott, spent many years living in Spain, Holland and Yugoslavia, thanks to many assignments for Dow Chemical. They loved their travels and the wonderful experiences that life gave them as well as the many friends they made along the way. Upon retiring, Bob and Janice made their home in Lago Vista, Texas. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in 2006 with a trip back to Spain. Although we miss you greatly, we are so glad you and Dad are together once again.

Memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Sunday, Sept. 1st at Trinity Anglican Church at Villa Antonia in Jonestown.
