Jean Craig Carroll, age 92, of Austin passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007. She received her Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and then became a homemaker upon marriage. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Stuart Carroll. She is survived by her son, Col Robert George Carroll (ret.) and wife Elaine Carroll and by her granddaughter, Jeanna Beth Carroll and husband Jeffrey Matthew Pelzl. She is also survived by her brother, George Gilbertsen, Jr. of Columbus Ohio. Memorial service will be held at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 with family friend Reverend Ben Shinn officiating. The family would like to extend special thanks to Ninfa and Don De La Cruz and their staff for their devotion and attentiveness while Jean was under their care.
