Jeri graduated from Lake Highlands High School in 1976. In 1982, she received her Master’s in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University, where she also had completed her undergraduate degree.
Jeri dedicated her work life to helping others through education, job training, job placement, and support services. She worked for Goodwill, Chris Cole and the Texas Rehabilitation Commission.
Jeri enjoyed an affinity for music, especially the Beatles. As an avid movie buff, she appreciated most genres, but really relished a good ghost movie.
Her strong determination in life was exceeded only by her compassion. She had a deep love and concern for animals of all kinds. She particularly enjoyed her pet “miniature” pig, Barney, and the many pet dogs and cats. Over the years, she served as a dedicated volunteer with several animal welfare organizations.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pat Davis of Wimberley.
Jeri is survived by her husband of 32 years, Brad Badgett; and father, Sam Davis.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
