

Jerry Wayne Barr III was born on November 3, 1973, in Paris, Texas, to Jerry Wayne Barr, Sr. and Eva M. Barr.Jerry left his earthly home on Sunday, February 27, 2022, in the loving arms of his beloved Latoya Threadgill, his loving partner, at the young age of 48 years.Jerry was a devoted son, brother, partner, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, and was loved by many. He loved his children unconditionally and was devoted to all of them, and each one held a special place in his heart. Jerry loved sports, especially football and basketball. But his true passion was football. He was a youth football coach, coaching for the Austin Steelers. He was affectionately called “Coach Jerry.” Jerry encouraged, inspired, and uplifted our youth of tomorrow. To know Jerry was to love him. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchilden, and the love he had for them. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Jerry was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Genevia McGaha and Dorothy Barr; and grandfather, Robert Barr.He leaves to cherish his precious memory and life-long legacy to his beloved partner, Latoya Threadgill; his sons, Craig Bowser, Jernon L. Barr, Dacious J. Barr, Jerry W. Barr IV, and Jer’Kobe Barr; his daughters, Ashley A. Barr, Aasia A. Barr, Amari A. Barr and Ava Barr; his bonus children: Tyrone Meredith, Jr., Edric Rushing, Reginald Lemons, and Reginae Lemons; his five grandchildren; his mother, Eva M. Barr; his father, Jerry W. Barr; his brothers, Stephen L. Barr and wife, Kim, and Michael J. Barr and wife, Dominga; and his sisters, Ymeka Baty and Lemeka Penny; and a host of other relatives and friends.
