

Jesse was born on September 20, 1937 in Austin, Texas, to parents Jesus Gonzales and Helen Cantu. Jesse was a great man and loving husband, dad, abuelo, bisabuelo, brother and uncle. He married Guadalupe Marquez in Austin, TX and had seven children.
Jesse had a zeal for life, a great sense of humor, he loved his family, and enjoyed going to the lake and fishing. He will be remembered for his love of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Longhorns. He will also be remembered as an outstanding salesman with over 50 years of service with Glastron Boat Company.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jesus Gonzales; his mother, Helen Cantu Gonzales; his sisters, Margaret Gonzales Castellon, Micaela Gonzales, and Mary Helen Polanco; and his daughter, Esther Marie Gonzales.
He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe M. Gonzales, his sons, Jesse Gonzales, Jr. (Theresa), Jesus C. Garcia, Jr. (Lori); daughters, Melinda De La Cruz; Christina Grady (Woodrow); Mary Lupe Gonzales (Shawn); Michelle Williams (Angelo). He is also survived by his brothers Rudy Gonzales (Clara); Daniel Gonzales (Sue); John Gonzales (TJ); Sam Gonzales. He has been blessed with 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. Austin TX 78752.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. at Cook Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752. A reception will follow at Saengurrunde Hall located at 1607 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin, TX 78701, all are welcome to attend and celebrate Jesse’s life.
