

After staying at home with her son, she was employed as a program director for Capitol Bowl for many years, audit manager at House of Jeans, and retired as a property manager for Burnet Road Business Park.
After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips to Port Aransas, cooking with her granddaughter, crocheting various projects, and she was always heard cheering on the Texas Longhorns.
Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years William Eugene Barnard, parents, brothers: Eddie, Sidney, Delbert, Dean, Woodrow, & Red, and sisters: Mattie Lou, Lyda Mae, Effie, Jackie, Ora Dell, and Ruth.
Gloria is survived by her son, Michael Barnard and wife Kathy Barnard. Grandchildren: Kristy Barnard, William Barnard, and Debra Langley. Four Great-Grandchildren: Dakota, Katelynn, Dylan, and Ethan. Niece and Nephews: Sharon, Dewayne, Kelly, Karen, Kay, and Tommy.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Monday, the 29th of June 2015, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Graveside services will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 30th of June 2015, at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
