Peggy, Shannon, Sharron and families: Myrna and I were saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. At the same time, we were thankful to know that he is with his Lord and Savior in a place of perfect peace. We have such wonderful memories of times spent with you all. Bible studies, church gatherings, ski trips. Ron had a BIG voice and presence and I personally look forward to hearing him call me “Slaggenwich” when we meet again.

I just found out about Ron's passing. So sorry to hear such a great man is not with us. To Peggy, and the family, Jeannie and I want you to know you are in our prayers . Ron was my mentor and inspiration to pursue my long career in aviation. His generous, and selfless assistance helped make it possible for me. I am forever grateful. God called a great one home.

So sorry about Ron's passing. He was an old friend from Bell days and we flew together several times in FTW. I always enjoyed being around him as he was a great pilot and always an upbeat person.

Initially met Joe when we started helicopter flight school, ORWAC 65-2, in Mineral Wells, TX and then graduated at Ft Rucker. AL only to meet again in Korea and then Phu Loi, Vietnam with the Big Red One. Joe was a strong leader, a credit to his background as an Aggie, and an excellent pilot. We both stayed in helicopters, I with Sikorsky and Joe in his own very successful Austin Jet venture. We would meet at the Heli Expo Convention to talk politics and happenings of fellow classmates. I'll be thinking of Joe at the HAI this year as I check in with some of his mates at the Bell booth.

So sad hearing about Ron's passing. He and I were classmates and good friends at Bellaire. We lived near each other off Stella Link in Houston. Did a lot together in our teenage years.
We had a fine visit at the last Bellaire High class reunion we attended, as we had not seen each other for years. Fine memories of a good man.

Sincere condolances,

Jim Roberts
