Joe Rodriguez Jr.

Passed on November 6, 2025 at his home in Austin Texas at the age of 82. He was surrounded by family in his last moments with us. Joe and Irene Rodriguez were married for 56 years and have three children Melissa Gustafson, Chris Rodriguez, and Elizabeth Alvarado. Joe is survived by his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with his beloved sister Mary Rose Rodriguez.

Joe was self employed for over 30 years and known to many as Burrito Joe.

He loved laughing and helping others every chance he could. Joe found joy in being with his family and friend along with playing cards, watching golf, and of course cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the UT Longhorns.

Joe Rodriguez Jr. was a resident of Austin, Texas.

A visitation will be held at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, located at 6100 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78752, on November 11, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A prayer service will also take place at the same venue on November 11, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm.

The funeral service will be conducted at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, located at 12041 Bittern Hollow, Austin, TX 78758, on November 12, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The committal service will follow at Assumption Cemetery, located at 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704, on November 12, 2025, from 11:45 am to 12:00 pm.
