John Edwin Endres

John “Jack” Edwin Endres of Austin, Texas passed away on December 13, 2023, at 89. He was born on October 21, 1934, in St. Paul Minnesota, where he grew up on his Grandparent's farm in Bluffton, Minnesota.

At 16, he lived in Oaks North Dakota until 18, when he enlisted in the Air Force. After serving a year in Korea he was sent to Klamath, CA. While there he also had a part-time job as the voice of Paul Bunyan in the Red Woods. From there he moved to McChord Washington AFB. It was there where he met his bride of 62 years, Patricia Charvat. They had 6 kids over time & lived in many states & had overseas tours in both England & Germany. He retired in 1985 from Bergstrom AFB after 30 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his Mother, Grandparents & numerous Aunts & Uncles.

He is survived by his 6 children, Beth, Jane (Pete), Steven, David, Shannon (Brad) & Paula. 7 Grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren & one on the way. His two sisters Mary and Ellen.

All the brothers & sisters would like to thank Paula for the excellent care she gave to our dad the last few years of his life, she was by his side until the very end.

Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Following the memorial service there will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
