John Edward Peacock went to be with his Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of April 26, 2009. He was seven months old. John was born with polymicrogyria, a malformation of the brain that left him with intractable seizures. His family draws comfort knowing that the prayers of healing for John have been heard, and he no longer suffers in his new life in heaven. John's life was a testimony to the Gospel of Christ. John and his family were ministered to by a countless number of people, from the faithful medical team and church family that never stopped loving him to the outpourings of love from multiple continents. John also ministered to this multitude through his perseverance and by driving so many to their knees in prayer and supplication to their Father in heaven. John is survived by his brother William, his parents Bill and Kelly, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 3201 Windsor Road. Interment will follow at Austin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that contributions be made to Joni and Friends International Disability Center.
