Kevin was part of "the squad" for a number of years, kayaking on Lake Austin, grabbing a pint on Rainey, or taking a rod & reel to the local watering hole. In my experience, the write-up "kind...compassionate...generous...intelligent" describes him to a "T".  He was a bit of a data junkie, had an active mind, and I remember a lot of wide-ranging conversations on anything from coding languages to music genres to even mass transit optimization. He had an embracing demeanor towards just about everyone. 
We began to drift after I moved away for a few years, and when I returned we met up a few times, talked big plans, and then...I wasn't sure. This was sore news to hear from Tom today, but brings closure. My best to the family.

Kevin was my best friend here in Austin for a long time. I am so saddened to hear of his departure from earth. I will pray for he and the family for years to come. I wish you all the best and please do not hesitate to contact me for any help.

We were so saddened and shocked when Jimmy called to share of Kevin’s passing.  We never got to spend a great deal of time with him thru the years, but a special memory in particular was the day we all spent at the water park!  Know you are in our prayers and hearts.



I will always remember growing up with you Kevin! I always loved our days together swimming and playing, I will never forget those times, they are cherished memories of my childhood. I remember when we were all excited about camping in your backyard, even though we only lasted about 10 minutes until we got scared & Aunt Mary had to gather up all the stuff and we ended up sleeping in your room. Even though life put a lot of distance between us in our adult years, I never stopped thinking of you and wishing all the best for you. I will always love you and miss you for the rest of my days. Sleep in the stars my brother! 

Mary, we are so very sad for your loss...We were truly shocked at his passing.  I'm thankful he reached out recently and we were able to catch up...and talk about what was going on in you're lives...we're here if you need anything...Love Jimmy and Carol

Kevin and I went to the same high school in Tampa, FL.  He was also brother in the business fraternity that I was in at USF, where we became closer.  He was always a lot of fun, and a very smart person.  We had recently reconnected over phone calls in the past couple of months.  I really appreciated his willingness to go deep, and to address both fun times and harder topics.  He was a deep thinker, which I also consider to be myself.

This news is really crushing to me, given we had just reconnected not too long ago.  I am so sorry for his family for this great loss, as well as sad for my own loss. 

I went to Sacred Heart Academy with Kevin! I have many great memories of Kevin and our first grade class. My husband went to Jesuit with Kevin and just spoke to him this summer. We are both deeply saddened by the news of his passing. Our prayers and sincerest condolences are with the family during this difficult time.
