

Lance graduated from Lanier High School now known as Juan Navarro High School in May 2007. While in school, Lance began his interest in ROTC at Webb Middle School and continue throughout high school. He also played football, was on the wrestling team, and played the drums in marching band in middle and high school.
After graduation, Lance joined the U.S. Army and completed his basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He then went to Fort Hood and was deployed to Afghanistan. Once his tour was up, he then returned to Fort Hood for the remainder of his active duty.
He worked as a cook, but had aspirations of becoming a chef. Lance liked to have fun, hang out with friends, play magic, and spending time with family.
Lance is survived by his mother, Dawn Dollins and Stepfather Darrel Jones of Austin, TX; his sister, Dawn “Coly” McCasland, sister-in-law, Krislyn Goewe and nephew, Jasper Goewe of Austin, TX; Grandparents, Richard and Louise Clark of Abilene, TX; Dolores Jones of Midland, TX; extended family, numerous friends, army buddies, and co-workers. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas McCasland; Grandparents, Larry Dollins and Shirley Mackey; and Great-grandparents, Bonita Wilkins and Elza Ray Hill.
Lance, we love you and will miss you. May you rest in peace.
