Larry Lewis Williams Sr.

Larry Williams was born on October 6, 1956, to Jewel W. Williams and Willie Mae Williams in Taylor, Texas. Larry graduated from Taylor High School. He loved playing dominoes, watching sports, and singing, and he was the last original member of the New Sensational Royal Lights. Larry married Carlotta Davis, and three children were born from this union. Larry departed this life on August 12, 2025, in Georgetown, Texas, at the age of 68.

From his youth, Larry’s life was marked by a steadfast commitment to serving others. Larry gave his life to Christ at a young age and later ministered under his father at the Church of God in Christ in Jesus Name in Taylor, Texas. He had an empirical memory with which he studied the Word of God. He demonstrated his devotion to God through his dedication to his community—providing resources to neighbors, lending a helping hand, and offering encouragement to all who crossed his path. He cherished his family and friends and treasured every moment spent with them.

Larry held various roles throughout his life, including working in janitorial services, serving as a bus driver for Austin ISD, and assisting at Jones and Jones Funeral Home. Helping others was his true passion, and he had dreams of one day owning his own funeral home.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ozelle Shannon.

Left to cherish his memory is one son, Pastor Larry Williams Jr. (Zonerphia) of Round Rock, Texas; two daughters, Laureal Daniels (Sebastian) of Temple, Texas, and LaRica Williams of Killeen, Texas; one brother, Billy Ray Harrison of Taylor, Texas; 13 grandchildren: Israel Williams, ZaRiah Williams, ZaNiah Williams, Kyra Williams, Alaiyah Williams, Sebastian Daniels Jr., Wisdom Collins, Isyas Williams, Joel Williams, Kaiden Daniels, Caleb Williams, King Daniels, and Kannon Daniels; and a host of relatives and friends.

A visitation for Larry will be held Monday, August 18, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Horizon Worship Center, 12 Lake Dr, Round Rock, TX 78665. A celebration of life will occur Monday, August 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 12 Lake Dr, Round Rock, TX 78665. A committal will occur Monday, August 18, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, 12 Lake Dr, Round Rock, TX 78665.
