Laura Katelyn "Katy" Powell Our sweet little angel, Katy was born on July 18, 1994, and was called home by the Lord peacefully in her sleep on January 13, 2010, after a brief illness and a 9 year battle following multiple pediatric strokes. She is survived by her parents, Steve and Anna Powell and sister, Kristi Powell of Round Rock, TX; brother, Kevin and his wife Jessica and nieces, Hannah and Emily of Great Falls, MT; brother, Eric and his wife Connie and nephew, Alex of Tucson, AZ, grandmother, Margret Hofmann of Austin, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved her. Pallbearers are Steve Powell, Kevin Powell, Eric Powell, Franz Hofmann, Steve Hofmann and Don Veselka. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to Give Kids the World (www. gktw.org) or to Make-a-Wish Foundation. She was loved by everybody and will be missed by all. Services to be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S. Congress, Austin, Texas, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday. Interment will be at Live Oak Cemetery, Uhland, Texas at 4:00 p.m.
