LaVonne was the youngest of six children and was called Peaches by her family. She was born in New York but raised in South Florida. She was an amazing lady, a pillar of joy, strength and encouragement. When her boys were in their teens they moved to Clermont, FL. She lived there for many years until she met and married Paul the love of her life. They shared thirty-one years of marriage. They lived in Mt. Dora for many years until they moved to Texas. Her careers varied from small business owner in Clermont, long distance truck driver based out of Mt. Dora, and restaurant manager in Austin. Everything she did was with a smile on her face. Though miles away she kept in touch with her immediate and extended family through Facebook. Her messages of love and care will be greatly missed.
She is survived by husband Paul; Sons and daughter-in-laws Ron and Elizabeth Kelly (Cape Coral, FL); Greg and Janie Kelly (Leander, TX); six grandchildren, Joshua, Dawn, Samantha, Jonathan, Sarah, and Grace; as well as her brother Harry Huntley (Citra, FL).
A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1-3pm at her home in Leander, Texas. LaVonne’s passion was for her dogs. The family is requesting In Lieu of flowers donations be made to Texas Humane Heroes in her memory.
