Linda Phelps, age 74, of Austin, Texas, passed away at her home surrounded by family on Friday, March 17, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Sheldon Phelps for almost 51 years.
Linda was born in Santa Monica, California on December 21, 1942. She graduated from Loma Linda University with a dental hygienist degree. On April 23, 1966, she married Sheldon Phelps in Oxnard, California.
Linda had a passion for travel, photography, cats, and her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sheldon, and her beloved daughter, Jenni Waggoner.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Cook-Walden Funeral Home located at 6100 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78752. After the service, there will be a burial at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery located at 14501 I-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
