Luke and I met on December 31,1957 in the alley behind each of our family homes before we had fences. Luke was 16 and i was 17. We bonded on that day and remained friends for 63 years. I continue to have many warm fond memories. Luke made the first skateboard I ever saw with a blue footprint painted on it, he made and mastered a unicycle, he made a bow out of a corner fence post as big as a railroad tie by whittling it down, and he trained his dog "Tootsie" to do so many tricks. We roomed together when we went to North Texas State University. In later years we only talked on the phone, occasionally smoking a cigar together while reminiscing over the phone. We face timed and talked about these memories on a warm sunny day in late December, 2020.

Luke. we began our school years together at James B. Bonham, then Alex W. Spence Jr. High, graduating together after 3 years at North Dallas High School Class of 1961. Throughout those years I remember your smile that lighted up your face and your consistently positive attitude. You will be missed by so will be remembered with respect and love by so many. Luke and I were classmates at Spence JH and North Dallas HS. We shared many classes and I remember him as a swell guy and friend to everyone he came in contact. I always admired the servicemen who were in Vietnam while I was in the Navy on the other side of the world at the same time. Condolences to his entire family and may Luke rest in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
