Mable was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mable was from a pioneer family in Austin which came to Waterloo to settle in 1835. The family cemetery is on Vine Street, and she loved the stories of the Davis family history. She was uncommonly intelligent and loved to read and to tell fascinating stories about her life and history. She served her employers and her family well and faithfully.

She is survived by her children, James R. Raup of Austin, Calvin L. Raup and wife Angela of Phoenix; her brother, Maurice E. Davis and wife Judy; her grandchildren, Mark and Elizabeth Raup, Gretchen, Grant & Christina Raup; many nieces and nephews and her cousin, Doug Davis.
