

Margaret Davis was born December 1, 1919 in Gonzales, TX to Willie and Lily Clark. She was named after her Grandmother. Her childhood rearing was credited to her brother Jason Clark. She is the youngest of 10 children. They grew up in Pflugerville community. She married John W. Walker, Sr. To this marriage was born six children. She later relocated to Austin, TX, where she married Huey Davis. Margaret grew up in a Spiritual Home, she accepted Christ at an early age, was a faithful member at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed. She was named one of the Golden Girls. She will always be remembered as a servant of God. Her favorite song was “My God Is Real.” She was a faithful member and volunteer at Conley Guerrero Senior Activity Center and was crowned Queen for two years and Valentine Queen. She was blessing to others. She received many certificate of achievements.
She is preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband Huey Davis; One sister, Carolyn; McKenny of San Antonio.; six children – Lucy Holmes, John W. Walker Jr., Julius Walker, Ora Waters and her husband Johnny Waters, Daisy Collins, and Melvin Walker. She had 2 step daughters and 2 step sons. Brenda Evans was very special to her 18 Grandchildren, 47 Great-Great Grandchildren and 30 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren and still counting, all of Austin, TX.
