Marjorie was a student at the University of Florida for 2 years. She married Benjamin B. Covington. She was Director of After School Day Care at Highland Park Baptist Church.
She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church since 1972.
Marjorie enjoyed, cooking, sewing, quilting, and her family. She was a member of Sewing and Quilting Clubs.
Marjorie is survived by her sons, Frank Covington and wife Gayle; Richard Covington and wife Diann; and Kenneth Covington and wife Libby; daughter, Marjorie Waley and husband Dennis; daughter-in-law, Catherine Covington; sister, Stacy Hannum Giedzinski of Florida; eleven grandchildren: Beth, Brad, Clay, Blake, Rebecca, Eliot, Ellis, Brynn, Paul, Colin and Evan; and by eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marjorie Hannum; her husband, Benjamin B. Covington; and her son, Benjamin Bryan Covington.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Jill Williams officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marjorie's name to the Settlement Home.
