

Marsha Levlon Whited, 69, of Leander, Texas, peacefully passed away on January 1, 2025, after years of battling cancer. She faced this illness as well as other challenges in her life with courage and grace. Family was a priority in her life, and they were with her to surround her with their love when she was called from this life.
Marsha was the heart of her family. She raised her family with immeasurable love, strength, and dedication and leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in her family. Her selfless acts of kindness, her selflessness, and her unwavering support helped shape her family into who they are today.
Marsha was born on September 30, 1955, to Byron and Mary Levlon in Houston, Texas. She married the love of her life, James Whited, on June 1, 1974. She found much joy in recently celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary and spent countless hours planning this special day. Her family will always remember the happiness she and James shared with family and friends on that day.
Marsha had a vast love for animals and owned her own animal grooming business. She never seemed to tire of caring for her beloved animals, which also included showing her dogs off in dog shows. Life around the Whited house was never dull with a variety of animals ranging from poodles to goats, ferrets, rabbits, bids, lizards, and cats.
After attending business school, Marsha worked for 22 years at Meridell Achievement Center, retiring as Intake Coordinator in July, 2021.
Marsha’s greatest accomplishment was her family and raising her four children: James Jr, Chris, Christie, and Brad. She also raised her nephew, Paul, from the age of twelve and she considered him one of her own. Marsha’s selfless nature was evident in her life and she was always willing to help others in their time of need.
Marsha and James were avid travelers and enjoyed many long road trips throughout the United States. She also enjoyed bingo and occasional trips to the casino.
Marsha is survived by her husband James, her son James Whited and wife Tammy and children: Jillian, Grayson, Kaylee, and Lily; daughter Christie Schuessler and husband Dennis and children: Ethan and wife Nicole, Madison, and Marissa; son, Bradley Whited, fiancé Faith and child Eleanor, and grandson Jace.
Other survivors include three sisters, Gina, Teena, and Melanie, and one brother, Terry.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Dennis & Kevin Levlon and her son, Chris.
Services will be held at the Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park in Oak Hill. The family will welcome visitors on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Cook-Walden. Following the burial, there will be a celebration of Marsha’s life at the VFW Hall in Leander immediately following the services.
