Born on December 2, 1977, Mary was the beloved daughter of Charles William Gilbert Jr. and Kathleen Gilbert. She graduated from Palacios High School in 1997 and pursued a college education before dedicating her professional life to public service. Mary worked with the Texas Office of the Attorney General in the Child Support Division. Mary was married to the love of life, John Page DuBois, February 6, 2010.
Mary is survived by her husband, John Page DeBois; her father, Charles William Gilbert Jr. and wife, Debbie; her mother, Kathleen Wood Gilbert and fiancee, Philip Eugene Brantley; and her grandmother, Mida Mae Gilbert. She is also remembered by her uncles, Yarnell Gilbert, George Thomas Wood and wife, Lucy, John Lawrence Wood, Marshal Timothy Wood and wife, Therese; her aunts, Karen Ann Schaale, Judy Gilbert, and Susan Ramsburg; mother-in-law, Anne Page Dubois; and numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service honoring Mary’s life will be held on July 8, 2025 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, located at 2620 S. Congress Ave. Austin, TX 78704.
