She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sandy; her son, John; her sister, Marion Shirley; and grandson, Joe Whitson.
She was survived by her sister, Patsy Stevenson; brother, Jackie Whittaker, both of Liverpool, England; daughters, Tanya Buchanan and husband Sam of Conway, Arkansas, Margaret Southard of Austin, Erin Whitson and husband Ken of Nevada, Missouri; grandchildren, Paul Buchanan and wife Karly of Houston, Kristine Buchanan of Montrose, Scotland, Charles Southard and Norah Whitson, both of Austin; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Winter of Edinburgh, Scotland and Alexander Buchanan of Houston.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all of us as well as by her faithful companion, Buster.
Graveside services Tuesday, May 15th 1:15pm at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas.
