Mayme Speed

Mayme Elizabeth Elsie Dahl Speed died August 24th, 2010. She was born October 1, 1926 to Swedish immigrant / US citizens Hilda & Oscar Dahl of Hutto, Texas. In 1946 she married Edward Seiders. Later in 1955 she remarried to John D. Speed.

Mayme was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Signe McDowell, Martha Krenek, Viola Dean and brother, Thure Dahl.

Mayme is survived by her sister, Ann McCullough ; brother, Helmer Dahl; daughters, Deborah Stern and Tammy Speed Wessels; son, John R. Speed. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mayme was loved by all; she’ll be greatly missed and now rests in the hands of God and our beloved Savior Jesus Christ.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock in afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 27th of August, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd. in Austin.

The funeral service is to be conducted at 11 o’clock in morning on Saturday, the 28th of August, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, where the Rev. Albert Holck , is to officiate.
