I knew and loved Michelle since she was a girl in Corpus Christi, about 6 years old.  She was a precious little girl and never lost that sweetness through the years.   Her mother, Sheila, and I worked at the same company, beginning in 1971, and became   best friends and I saw the girls really often, only at that time Michelle went by the name, "Andrea".  My daughter, Raylene, used to babysit the girls, so all my 4 kids got to know them as well.  Even with all the moves and changes over the years, Sheila and I always kept in touch and that meant keeping in touch with Michelle and Melanie, as well.  Michelle and I would talk occasionally and catch up, so I never lost touch with her.  I've long thought of Sheila and the girls as extended family and have loved them all this time.  Her passing is a terrible loss and my heart goes out to all those who loved her!

My favorite memory was when we were teens. Candice picked me up from Corpus and took me to stay a week in Austin. I was beyond ecstatic! When we got there we went to visit her at Taquiny Advertising I thought she had the coolest job! Michelle's bubbly self that I love, took us on a little tour of the office space. I remember one room  distinctly there were wall size dry erase boards on each wall with drawings on them, my favorite was a giant duckling. My week in Austin was almost done, and was so grateful to have stayed , lots of  great memories were made! To show some love to this strong, independent mother who is a badass, with a cool career. I remembered her mentioning she wanted to paint her kitchen... all the supplies were there, just no time.  So, I knew I could help, I just needed my besties assistance lol Candice is always willing to help she agreed, to paint Aunt Michelle's kitchen together we had so much fun! I grew up working with my family construction business,  so I was a semi-pro lol well at least enough to know the basics and with the help of Candice we knocked it out! We surprised her when she came home from work 🥰🥰 she loved it so much she was so happy, grateful and proud of us! I'll never forget that week in Austin with my best friend and Aunt Michelle! She is with the best up there!!😇🥰 Sending my positive vibes, love and prayers! Thank You Candice for introducing me to your Amazing Aunt Michelle!!

Dear Michelle's Family, 
    Michelle came into my life quickly at Tarleton.  Friendships  of that kind with special others don't come along during life often.
Luckily Michelle and Becky were in my two handfuls. Andrea and Austin you were her life as she would say often "I know like I know that you know"  Michelle as we all know her was faithful, funny, beautiful, hard working, caring with a huge heart that never ended.  Raised a good group of family and loved you all with every ounce of being she had. Family and friends she loved us deeply.  A fighter  for all! We wrote many letters years ago and had the best all night conversations with a taste of wine on the back porch  of each home she moved too. Time really was never lost we picked up right where we left off at each visit. Michelle was such a  good listener to me and everyone one in her life. Michelle will always be watching over us and I am so very very blessed to have her in my heart and life.  We all have a dash between the beginning an end of our lives we better damn well live and enjoy ounce of it while we are here. Time goes so fast I want you younger ones to do the things  most wanted in life when you get the chance. Thank you Michelle for always being my friend till the end.   ❤ Love you always a bright star in my life.   Debbie  doo.

This amazing wonderful woman i met almost 35 years ago ,we were next door neighbors - this where the nick name NEIB came from . we became very close very fast and the friendship just grew from through the years. We were there for each other through having babies and raising kids and LIFE !! After she moved it did not matter how much time went by we picked up like we were still next door to each other . Over the past two years her courage and amazing attitude through all she went through was nothing short of a complete inspiration to me , she never once complained and always had a big smile and greeting " Hello my sweet friend " or " My Neibbbbb" 
I love this woman more than i can explain and losing her is a huge loss to me and anyone that had the privilege of knowing  
her .

I met Michelle while working at Tocquigny in 2001. We became fast friends and felt like we’d known each other forever (and soon discovered how closely our lives actually were the more we talked). We both lived in Corpus, had several mutual friends, even hung out in many of the same places. She always made me smile, and could make any bad situation into something we could laugh about (with or without wine)! 

She was always up for whatever and available to lend a helping hand. Her giving nature was infectious. As sad as I am that we’ve lost such an amazing woman and friend, I find peace in knowing that she will live on in so many hearts and minds of everyone that ever knew her.  

Looking through my photos for images and captured moments in time gave me the chance to relive each moment again. Cheers to you, Michelle with lots of love!

Michelle's birthday February 1985. Of course we celebrated at The Dodge House. 

Michelle and I were roommates at Tarleton my senior year (1984/1985). We became the best of friends. I loved her dearly. We hung out with friends, celebrated birthdays, and hung out at Dodge House.

Of course studying (aka Michelle nicknamed me “Booky” cause I always had my head in a book) but most of all  lifetime friendships were made. 

Michelle and I were desk buddies at Scrypt, 6 years ago. My entire family and most of my friends would come to know and love Michelle, just as I did. Michelle was one of my biggest cheerleaders through family, work and man issues.

She taught me how to ask for a raise and when I felt like I was asking for too much, always assured me “honey, they can afford it!” 

After listening to me talk of my dating woes for years, I will always remember picking up tacos and heading over to her place to tell her I met THE ONE. I am so thankful that she was able to meet him, know that he turned into my fiancé and also see pictures of my wedding dress. I know damn well she won’t be missing my wedding and will be leaving a seat for her.

Every time we saw each other, she always gushed about her children and their special bond. I loved knowing all their successes and that they were all there taking care of each other. Truly a special group of people and I am keeping you in my heart and hopes.

We have all gained the sweetest guardian angel.

I knew Michelle when we were in junior high, Mann Junior High to be exact...anyway, we hung out all the time...sleepovers and shenanigans, things like that...I’ll never forget going to the mall because we couldn’t wait to buy the latest Bee Gee or Andy Gibb record...LOL!  
I moved in 9th grade, out to the country, and we just lost touch.  

For some reason she was on my mind about a month and a half ago.  I wondered if she was on FB.  I searched and found her.  We messaged back and forth.  It was good to touch base after all these years!   However, I had no idea she was sick. And that makes me sad.  And now to find out she has passed, makes me more sad.  
She was always so sweet and I was always jealous of her ginger hair! 
Prayers to the family.  I will always remember her fondly.

21st Birthday Party!! Fun---she was surprised

The most giving friend I've ever had. Always there to listen, drink wine with, laugh with... she was always taking care of someone else. 

So many memories to share. One of my best friends for over 3 decades. From 1984 in college spending time at college events, her 21st birthday party was a blast and Halloween was super fun too. A handful of memories we have shared over the years. We didn't always talk every day but when I called or she called it's like we picked up where we left off. My heart hurts knowing I can't pick up the phone and talk. I have so many memories with Michelle I can't begin to tell all the awesome stories. Until we meet again "Girrrlllll".


Michelle was one of my dearest best friends in high school. I love you and will always keep you in my heart. My prayers are with your family. When we hung out, we would get in the Red Chevy Luv and play on the 8 track Eddie Rabbit, I love a rainy night. Tonight it’s raining! 💔💔💔😢😢😢

I gave her the nickname Baby Wino, she gave me the nickname Mama Miller. She was my best friend's little sister but she was as much my little sister. Every moment we spent together was joyful and now more precious than ever as it was too short. Through her I met Amy another little sister. The funniest memory is her writing in shoe polish all over my car on my bday, Honk, I am 24, all day the honks came. I love you Baby Wino and will miss you terribly. Keep an eye on us, tell Carol hello and give her my love.

Michelle & I worked together at Mason Best in Dallas.  She found out she was pregnant then & was so excited.  We had so much fun, she told me her nickname with her family was “strawberry”.  She met me in Austin after her son Austin was born.  He had a problem with vomiting as a baby & they called him spew”.  She was so funny & sweet

Michelle has been a part of my life and my kids lives since before they were ever born.  She was a true friend, always there to listen and offer honest advice.  I would have stood in front of a train to protect her.  She knows we will be here for the long haul of life for Andrea, Austin, Melanie, Candace and the girls.  

Through our journey as friends, we had so much fun, a few tears but most of all we had each other.  I will miss her terribly!!!

I worked with Michelle at MSDF. She was one of the people that trained me when I first started working there. She had so much patience with me while she taught me how to do her former job, while simultaneously managing her own work. 
She had so much humor to share even though she was going through so much personally. Her smile was infectious. I adored our friendship.

Who would've ever thought a 3rd grade field trip with our boys would end up with a life long friendship but here we are....... Many long night talks, laughs and bottles of chardonnay later I am lucky to have called her my friend!! I loved her dearly and love her kiddos like they are mine!!

Our first apartment together at college!  I always schedule my first class at 8:00 am.  Michelle preferred 9:30 class to start the day.  Michelle would always holler at me after I had went to bed.  She would say she  had something to tell me. I of course would run would run over to her room. Once I got there she would say:  “Could you turn my light off!”  I fell for it every time.
