Mildred Psencik Meredith, 82, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2012. Mildred was born on July 2, 1930 to Annie and August Psencik in Smithville Texas. After marrying, she moved to Austin. Mildred's home was always open to others and it is said that she never met a stranger. All would agree that she made the best chicken fried steak you've ever had. She loved animals, especially Millie her beagle. Some of her favorite past times were watching sports, especially the Longhorns, dining at the Frisco, and visiting with friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Meredith, their first son William R. Meredith Jr., two sisters, Georgia Forrester and Lucy Patillo and one brother Jerome Psencik.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother Ivan Psencik; her son Jim Meredith and his wife Mandy; and her daughter Martha Meredith; as well as by her cherished grandchildren Matthew Meredith and his wife Lindsay, Holly Hey and husband Ryan. She was also recently blessed with her first great granddaughter Ryley Elizabeth Hey.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Allan Mahood, Dr. Robert Wozniak and his wonderful staff April and Erica, and the Encompass Home Health nurses for providing her with excellent care.
