She was born on September 18, 1949, in Hanna City, Illinois to Edwin and Dolores Kimzey. She worked in the in the San Joaquin County Court system in Stockton, California, her entire professional career as a clerk and later as a supervisor. She was briefly married to James Wise and had one son, Jim Wise, whom she raised on her own.
The years following her move to Austin were some of her happiest. She was surrounded by family and friends that she loved and was very much involved in the lives her grandchildren, whom she deeply cherished. Millie was loyal to her Lord and Savior and served Him faithfully as a member of her church in California and later at KeyPoint Church in Cedar Park, where she also enjoyed the fellowship of her Life Group. Millie loved to travel, and Hawaii was one of her favorite places to visit.
Millie was preceded in death by her sister, Monica, and her father, Edwin.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shannon Wise and her grandchildren, Sutter, Tatum, and Ramsey, her mother Dolores, her sisters Sandy and Sharon, and her brother Ed, as well as many cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on October 3rd at 10 o’clock a.m. at Keypoint Church in Cedar Park, Texas. Flowers may be sent to 2409 Rio Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78732.
