To the family, you are in my prayers for your loss. Cousin CT was a remarkable man and funny. The only time I would see him was at church. He would always promise me he would attend the Mackey Family Reunions but never made it. So, I am hoping that you all will help him keep that promise...I know he looking down on us. To Pat and Aubrey, thank you for sharing your father with the world. He inspired me and so many others to be great no matter the circumstance. He and your mother were the examples of true Christians. Nothing can replace a parent, but take solace in the fact that your father made a difference in this world. I cannot put into words the impact Uncle CT made on not only Dale, but the world. Uncle CT was a wonderful person who could light up a room with his personality and provide some of the most insightful advice on life  you have ever heard. Growing up, he would always encourage myself and others to strive to be educated and Christian people. He was always made me feel proud of my accomplishments because he was so proud of me. I remember growing up my daddy would take me to visit him and I would get so excited to tell him about school (plus he would slip me 5 bucks, which to a kid was a lot of money). The excitement of seeing him and Aunt Shirley cannot be described.  My father, Frank, often told me he admired him for his honesty which in this world is rare. He taught me right was right and wrong was wrong.  People like Uncle CT are not just born into this world, but are created by GOD. His legacy will continue to live on through those that he touched. To those that mourn him understand that GOD makes no mistakes. The time he allowed us to encounter such beautiful spirit is a blessing.   God Bless

I was just sitting here reading and came across this obituary. I see CT and was shocked. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. RIP CT.

We will truly miss CT's beautiful personality.  He was such a loving and giving human being.  May God's peace rest in all our hearts, especially his dear sons and entire family.  He is definitely resting in Jesus' arms and enjoying he's beautiful love Sis. Shirley.  Be comforted!

Aubrey, our individual prayers and collective thoughts are with you and your family.  On our last day on earth the only thing that matters is if we made a positive difference in a child's life.  Your dad raised a great son.  He made a difference and has a legacy that lives on.

C.T. loved God, family and the St. John Colony community with absolute passion. His leadership, work ethic and personal knowledge of St. John Colony was a huge plus for the community. He loved and appreciated our ancestors for having the fortitude to establish St. John Colony. He was like a proud father when anyone from St. John Colony did well. Now, C.T. is in a place prepared for him by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
