

Beloved mother, Nadea Doyle Gizelbach, went to the Lord on January 23, 2007. Born Nadea Regina Teodorovich in Detroit, Michigan on January 5, 1926 to Alexander and Helen Teodorovich, after the death of her father, Nadea was adopted by Helens second husband, Luke Doyle, and accompanied her family to Tucson, Arizona, where she graduated from Tucson High. Following high school, Nadea achieved a bachelors degree from Arizona State University, and a Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas. Nadea had two children with her first husband William Payne: daughter Sherry Lynn Payne and son William Doyle Payneand one child with her second husband Terofil John Gizelbach: son Terofil Alexander Gizelbach. Professionally, Nadea was a woman ahead of her time, serving as the head psychologist for the Brown Schools in the late 1950s and 1960s, and as the Administrator of the Capitol Area Rehabilitation Center through the 1970s. Nadea ended her distinguished career in the 1990s at the University of Texas, after having helped many to achieve better mental and physical health. In addition, Nadea was active in the community, serving on the Austin Tomorrow committee, a group responsible for making recommendations to the Austin City Council concerning City growth, and, with Zonta, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women. She also developed the nationally recognized Austin Womens Network to promote equality for women. But first and foremost, Nadea was a loving mother and friend to her children, who will miss her warm smile and kind brown eyes. She is preceded in death by her parents Luke and Helen Doyle, her first son, William Doyle Payne, and is survived by her daughter, Dr. Sherry Payne, her second son, Terofil Gizelbach, and her daughter-in-law, Michele Gizelbach. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the staff and administration of the Retirement and Nursing Center for their excellent care and devotion during a difficult time, and to all those who held Nadea close in their thoughts and prayers. Private services will be held in Tucson, Arizona. If desired, donations may be made to the Retirement and Nursing Center, 6909 Burnet Lane, Austin, TX 78757, in lieu of flowers.
