Every time I work on, or hear a report about, the Austin Symphony's Children's programs I think of Nancy and her 'darlin' children'.  Nancy and Diana Eblen created the rock upon which our children's programs are built - God Bless you, Nancy, and you Diana, for your foresight, love and hard work that made the Austin Symphony Orchestra Society's Children's programs  a model for other symphonies across the nation. The staff at the Black Forest Werkshop will miss Nancy very much. Her gratitude for those of us in the service industry was very much appreciated.
Her cakes, smiles, jokes and even pranks will be fondly remembered. It was an honor taking care of her BMW 740iL. She loved that car very much.
God bless you Nancy. The lord knows we need Angels like you! Our heart goes out to her family.

So many wonderful memories..... Nancy and Jane - I was so blessed to have you in my life. Jeani

Among many happy memories, two stand out: The first happened in October of 1989 when my mother passed away unexpectedly. Nancy was SO kind: she said (simply but with truth and real compassion), "Oh, yes. Losing your mother is hard." The other memory is darkly funny and involves our friend, Jean Zlomke, who told me this story. One spring, before Nancy's summer trip to North Carolina, Jean told her the difficult news that she (Jean) was dying. Nancy's response: "Oh, Jean! You know I'm going to North Carolina... Can you wait until I get back?" Joe and family - Thank you for sharing Nancy with us! We'll never forget her." Love, John Hall and Suzanne Moses

John and I met Joe and Nancy in the late 1970s via Symphony Square. From there we shared experiences on the Executive Board of Directors as she strived for excellence in the Children's programs and I fought to keep the Symphony Square Complex in perfect restored condition.  We loved what we were accomplishing for the city of Austin while we actively, with so many others, kept the Symphony financially stable,  Nancy's contribution of time, energy, effort and LOVE will never be forgotten; we were blessed that she permitted us to share her life.  Joe and Nancy - we love you forever.
