

Nathaniel Collins Davis Nathaniel Collins Davis was born on August 1, 1934; passed away July 31, 2004 at Trinity Care Center, Round Rock, Texas. Nathaniel was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Collins Davis and father, Joe P. Davis. Nat was a charter member of Asbury United Methodist Church, having joined that fellowship when he was only 14 years old. He had been a loyal member of Hyde Park Methodist Church since 1990. He was a faithful caregiver to the senior members of his family as long as his health would permit. He also assisted in the office of Hyde Park United Methodist Church during the pastorate of Jim Cloninger, his very good friend and mentor. Nat was a kind and gentle soul and while he will be missed by his friends here on earth, he will certainly be welcomed to his heavenly home as a special saint. Nat is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Frankie Jo and Nolan Toole, an aunt, Margaret McCullock of Seguin, Texas, a cousin, Betty Crawford of Dale, Texas and other cousins, nieces and a nephew. He is also survived by his long time friend and spiritual advisor, Rev. Bob Briehan and care-giver, Jody Cook. The family would like to give very special thanks to the staff at Trinity Care Center for their care and concern during the time he was a resident there. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel with Rev. Cheryl Broome and Rev. Bob Briehan officiating. Burial to follow at Austin Memorial Park.
