

At 17 years old, he joined the US Army and retired after 21 years; one year in Korea, three years in France, two tours in Vietnam as a combat photographer and 7 years in Germany. In 1978, Norbert graduated from Austin Community College with an associate's degree in Biology. He worked for the US Post Office as manager of Safety and Health for 20 years.
Norbert traveled well into the western region of the United States, enjoying its vast deserts, mountains, and national parks.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kasprowicz, his mother, Angela Jozwiak, and his brother Albin Tadeus Kasprowicz.
He is survived by his wife, Marcelle Helene Kasprowicz Lodi, son, Xavier Joseph Kasprowicz, daughter, Elizabeth Ann Kasprowicz, grandson Roman Marcel Duran, sister Veronica Catherine Ruemke, son-in-law Perry Mark Duran.
The family would like to thank the staff of Baylor Scott and White Hospital Lakeway, Baylor Scott and White Hospital Oak Hill, Lakeshore Village in Waco, Brookdale Westlake Hills, Brookdale Beckett Meadows Memory Care, Auberge Bee Cave Memory Care as well as his very numerous and devoted caregivers; they would be too numerous to name.
A visitation for Norbert will be held on May 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, 6300 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78749.
