She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Contreras; her father, Albert Herrera; her mother, Josie Obiedo Herrera; her siblings, Martha O. Herrera, Florencio O. Herrera, Louis O. Herrera, Blanche H. Cravey, Paul O. Herrera, Robert O. Herrera Sr., Josephine H. Parker, Albert O. Herrera Jr., Arthur O. Herrera Sr.; her great great-granddaughter, Arianna Luck.
Olivia is survived by her siblings, Ruby H. Flores, Abel O. Herrera, Lloyd O. Herrera Sr., and her children and their spouses, Sammy Alba (Louwyn), James Alba Sr, Lino Alba Jr. (Stacie), Perry Alba (Joanna), Joann Martinez, Lori Alba; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, close family and friends. She will also be greatly missed by her loving dogs, Roxy and Tazer.
Olivia loved gardening and spent many hours tending to her plants and flowers. She was an amazing cook, she had a natural talent for interior decorating and singing. She loved doing hair and had a flair for fashion. She enjoyed shopping and was always dressed to impress.
She was a spiritual woman and felt very close to our Heavenly Father. Many years ago she dedicated her life to the Lord. She loved singing hymns and praying for her friends and family.
She was known for her kind, loving personality, always making friends wherever she’d go. She will always be remembered for her smile, her warmth, her energy and her love for her family and friends.
Visitation 9:00 am – 11:00 am on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home 2620 South Congress Avenue with Funeral Service to begin at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Phillips Cemetery, Dripping Springs, Texas.
Currently, due to the substantial public risk, city and state government mandates that social gatherings of limited amounts may occur with strict social distancing protocol.
