Patrick Matthew Cieply unexpectedly departed this life on November 27, 2006, leaving his loving wife of 18 years, his son, and family and friends, with heavy hearts, but filled with thanksgiving for the joy that he gave them during his life. Patrick was born on December 2, 1954, to Aileen and William Cieply in Opelousas, Louisiana. His parents association with the Oil industry exposed Patrick to life on a global scale including locations such as London, Mexico City, and Singapore. He attended the University of Arizona. Music was a passion with Patrick, who was an accomplished musician. His specialty was the guitar on which he played eclectic styles. He performed with Pieces of East band in Austin and across the nation. Being a gentle soul, Patrick developed a love for animals, especially cats. Patrick is survived by his wife, Patrice; his son, Matthew; mother, Aileen; father, William; brother, John; and numerous other relatives and friends. He was beloved and will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel, 3125 N.
