

He was born in Pasadena, Texas on November 29, 1952. He was a military child for many years of his youth. In those years, he and his family lived in various locations including California, Hawaii, Missouri, and Kansas. Paul has been a resident of Austin for over 10 years and was currently employed by Matl Construction as a Project Manager. He had been in the construction field for over thirty years. His passion was music and he loved the Austin music scene. His enjoyment of playing guitar led to many friendships and late night sessions around town and at his home. He loved his family life and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He was a great and reliable friend. His family and friends knew they could count on him anytime for anything. His memory will live on through his family and friends and he will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas and stepfather, Jack Bodkin.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his beloved wife, Linda; his daughter, Melanie and her husband, Amando of Las Vegas; his mother, Carolyn Bodkin of San Antonio; two brothers, Nathan of Dallas, and Louis and his wife, Judy of Maryland; sister, Barbara Morgan and husband, Tom of Irving; two grandsons, several nephews and nieces; and an “adopted son”, J.R. Sutherland.
The family will receive friends at 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 17, 2010 followed with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.
