On January 13, 2023, Paulett (Polly) Estelle Clark Moore Housewright of Harwood, Texas, entered into the kingdom of heaven.
Polly was born in Denton, Texas on July 12, 1937 to Willie Gasham Clark and Lottie May Dudley Clark. She graduated high school from Alamogordo, New Mexico. She married James (Jim) Gibson Moore Jr. in May 1958 and moved to Austin, Texas, initially working for the IRS before becoming a full-time stay-at-home-mom. Polly was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her children without measure. She was a faithful member of Lanier Baptist Church, teaching VBS, Sunday School and singing alto in the choir. She was an esteemed Avon representative. Polly returned to work full-time in accounting for the Austin ISD and retired after 20 years of service in 1996. After Jim’s death in 1989, Polly met and married Robert G. Housewright Sr. in May 1994. They moved to Harwood, Texas where they raised Longhorn cattle and enjoyed traveling in their RV.
Polly lived her life loving and serving God. She excelled in caring for, nurturing and loving those who came into her life. She was talented in seeing and creating beauty in everything around her. Polly was an award-winning ballroom dancer, loving movement and the joy of music. She had the incredible talent of playing the piano by ear, inverting the use of the sharp & flat keys, using them as naturals & creating beautiful music. Her love for the animals she cared for as pets was unbounded, having been a loving & kind steward to those blessed to have experienced her care for them.
In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by her first husband, James Gibson Moore Jr and their daughter Lynette Ann Moore; her sisters Dorothy Clark, Margie Holmes and Lottie Dell Bush; her brothers Norris Clark, J.W. Clark, Truett Clark, Garner Clark and Dellon Ray Clark.
