Phillip G. Alvarez, age 56, of Austin, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Bacilia, and a sister, Lenora Alvarez. Survivors include his sisters, Mary and Connie Alvarez, Hortense and Cordelia Hernandez; brothers, Ernest, Freddie and Carlos Alvarez; and nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 1, 2004, at San José Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
