Ralph will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Natalie Mullins; his son, Jack Mullins and his wife Caitlyn; his stepchildren, Corey Crone and his wife Eva, and Ashley Crone; his mother Elizabeth "Ann" Mullins and Ralph "Jackie" Mullins (decd.); and his grandchildren Jameson (decd.), Victoria, and a baby boy due April 2018; along with Grace, Noah, and Isaiah. Ralph will also be missed dearly by his siblings, D'Juana Montgomery and her husband Max, Sandra Dill and her husband Kevin, and Carl Mullins and his wife Pam, along with his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Born in Woodville, Texas May 14, 1961 he spent his early years enjoying the outdoors. It was clear from a young age that Ralph's natural abilities would prove to amaze all of his family and friends. Not only was he incredibly intelligent, but he was also an athlete; playing both football and baseball for Kirby High School, class of 1979.
Ralph later married Laura Walker Rogers who blessed him with their son Jack Thomas Mullins in December of 1983. Ralph and Jack spent as many weekends as they could fishing together at Lake Sam Rayburn near Huntington, Texas. Lake Sam Rayburn, traditionally considered a busy lake, ended up being a symbol of tranquility for the two after discovering a secret cove. Throughout any stressful situation the two would often remind one another to take a minute and picture the simple task of casting the line out over the water.
Ralph's lifelong friends would describe him as man's man with a kind soul. He would put anyone's needs over his own, and was never cross with people even when they were in the wrong. Even so, the spiritual metamorphosis he experienced in the last year of his life amazed both friends and family alike. A transformation that was inspired by the love of his life.
In March of 2015, Ralph went on a cruise and met his wife Natalie Mullins. Natalie's mother spotted Ralph and knew immediately that he had a gentle spirit that belonged with her daughter. Soon after, Ralph found himself driving into Pflugerville from Dallas just to take Natalie out for lunch when he could. The two got married on the same cruise ship a year from their initial meeting, and spent every moment they could trying to make up for lost time. Together the couple transformed their church's food pantry, spread the Lord's word, and fed numerous families in need.
As much as Ralph was loved by all who knew him, he loved others with all that he had. He will be missed immensely and will always be remembered for his beautiful smile, bright blue eyes, and giant heart.
