Richard O. Benavides

29 September, 1949 – 19 November, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Fuller-Sheffield Funeral Services

Richard Benavides of Austin, TX, residing in Kyle, TX born September 29, 1949, passed away on November 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of his family.

A man defined by hard work, devotion, and gentle spirit, Richard began working for his father at the age of 16. Those early responsibilities shaped the determined, capable man he became—one who built a life grounded in integrity, love and perseverance.

In time, Richard founded his own masonry business, a craft through which he has left a lasting physical legacy in the community. He approached every project with pride, skill, and diligence. His hands built more than walls; they built a reputation for reliability, quality and honest work.

Family was the heart of Richard’s life. He was a proud husband and father of four daughters and two stepsons he lovingly embraced as his own. His family grew to include ten grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, each one filling his life with joy and purpose.

Richard also had a deep love for animals. He cherished his loyal dog, Daisy, whose companionship brought him comfort, laughter and joy. He found peace in the simple moments, especially feeding the birds—a daily ritual that reflected his gently appreciation for nature and the world around him.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, humor, generosity and the care he showed to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Richard’s legacy lives on in his family he adored and the countless lives he touched through his kindness and his work.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
