Robert Edwin Burger

Robert “Bob” Burger of Cedar Park TX died on August 9th just 5 days shy of his 87th birthday.

He was born in Lexington KY, graduated from Henry Clay HS, attended the University of Kentucky and served in the US Navy.

In 1970 the family relocated to Austin TX with IBM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Elmer “Babe” Burger, two loving aunts, Lucille Simcox and Francis Gordon and his wife of 36 years, Bettie Burger.

Surviving are his children Kathy Weiler, Linda Stewart, Scott Burger and Steve Burger, his 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart.

The family wishes to thank Majeida Guyton and Cynthianne Dorsaintville for their compassionate care, and the staffs of The Isle at Cedar Ridge and Comforts of Home Hospice.

A memorial service for Robert will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin, TX 78750.
