I volunteered at the RNC for a few weeks and had a wonderful time with Bob. We would sit and chat about his time in the military and he would proudly tell me about his battle wounds. I loved listening to him tell his stories about the railroad in his youth. 

Bob was a sweet and wonderful man, and I am very sad that I will not get to sit with him anymore. My sympathies to his family and friends,

We only had the privilege of knowing Bob for the last 2 years.  When we moved Mike's mother to RNC, she was placed at the dining table with Bob (lucky for us).  He watched out for her and the other ladies and always gave us "updates" on how she was doing.  We loved visiting with Bob and hearing his stories.  He was a wonderful, kind, humble and funny man and was an excellent representative of a generation we are forever grateful to. We are blessed to have met this kind man of character, he left quite an impression.  Rest in peace Bob.

Mr Harwood was such a kind man who was a neighbor of my dads.  He was a good friend to my dad.  My dad had stated to me "that he wished he had known Mr. Harwood earlier in my dad's younger days" (my dad passed away 7 years ago).  I will remember Mr. Harwood for loving to walk and his love for his wife.

A truly lovely man who will be missed. We were neighbors for 20+ years. He and his wife were such gracious hosts of the NNO block parties, where they made everyone feel so welcome. My children loved going to see the Harwoods.
