Uncle Bob was a very dear friend to my mom and dad, who moved across the street from Margaret and Bob in 1989.  Dad and Bob grew to really love each other and became very close when they both lost their dear wives.  They were "two peas in a pod" when it comes to helping their neighbors and friends, always ready to lend a hand and step up to the challenge. They spoke daily and shared the newspaper and dad would call Bob and thank him for watering his grass whenever it rained.  Of course I have to mention the many delicious briskets Bob made over the years for Dad's birthdays.  
At dad's age, 101, his friendship with Uncle Bob was truly a blessing, and we all know he is resting in God's arms and at peace.  WE love you Uncle Bob


We were blessed to have Uncle Bob as our next door neighbor for 21 years. He and Margaret were very special to us. 
Over the years he was a wonderful example of what it means to be a good Christian neighbor. We have many fond memories of Bob helping us with anything from plumbing to taking down the old magnolia tree in our front yard. 
We will always remember his kindness, dry wit and the nic names he gave us. And did I mention that awesome BBQ?

Uncle Bobby, you will be greatly missed.

Being Bob's neighbor for the past 32 years has been a blessing to me and my family.  His kindness, generosity and humor have really been appreciated and we all love him very much.  I have to mention his delicious brisket which he famously smoked for my yearly bday parties. Margaret was  very special to me, and we became close also.  We enjoyed many meals together at Cracker Barrel and other restaurants as well as at the Masonic Lodge that Bob loved and served.  May they rest in Peace in God's loving hands.  With love, Micky

 “Uncle” Bob was a customer of mine when I managed Denny’s in the mid 80’s.  We have been friends all of this time. Talk about two different worlds, yet we understood and accepted each other for who we are. He and Margaret would drive to Seabrook to do plumbing work for Sunny and me when we needed something big. Then we would go out to eat and they would drive back to Austin. Or we would meet in Columbus for lunch. He loved to cook as much as he loved going out to eat. I can’t imagine how many briskets he made, for so many folks. I can’t thank him enough for his friendship, his bantering, his support and his love. Last week I had the honor to help Debbie take care of him during his last days. He will be missed by so many while he is resting in peace. He worked so hard and help so many all of his life. He deserves to be at peace. My God lift him up and may those that have passed before him greet him with open arms. I love you Bob! ❤️

Robert Schmidt (Uncle Bob) was a close friend and Masonic brother of my husband Bill Reynolds.  I will cherish the memory of his many visits in our home along with Aunt Margaret.  He was also a close friend and mentor to my son, Dale.  He will be missed and I will always cherish the memories.
