He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Macie Sephus, and two sisters, Willie Mae Sephus and Sally Sephus-Haney.
Robert grew up in Elgin, Texas, where his strong work ethic and kind spirit were evident even as a young man. He devoted more than 30 years of his life to the construction field, where he took pride in his work and in providing for his family. After retiring, Robert continued to do what he loved most—working in his yard, caring for his home, and helping others whenever he could. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always full of love and generosity.
Robert was a man of great faith. He earned his certificate in the Advanced Bible Study Program offered by the Southwest Church of Christ in Austin, Texas, and faithfully served as a devoted member of the Wheless Lane Church of Christ. His love for God showed through the way he lived his life—with humility, kindness, and compassion for everyone he met.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of many years, Felecia G. Sephus, and his children: Tracy L. Pittmon-Sephus, Latania N. Sephus, Anisha R. Sephus, Shanedra D. Sephus, and Andre Wyatt.
He also leaves behind his brother Roy L. Sephus (Bernice); sisters Christine Husband, Mae Lou Thomas (L.J.), Ray Nell Loving, Zelma Sephus Gibson, Mary Sephus Braxton (Vincent), and Betty Ann Goodgame (Torres); grandchildren Jasmine Shaw, Tyla Carter, Jayzeon Sephus, Justin Shaw, Jordan Pittmon, Undrea Houston, and Mallory Houston; and great-grandchildren Ava Cyphers, Addison, Alani, and Autumn White.
Robert will also be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends who were blessed by his kindness, humor, and wisdom.
Though his hands may rest, his love, laughter, and faithful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
