"Robert (Bob) Diringer Wolk was born on August 20, 1948 to mother Eunice Diringer Wolk and father Robert Wolk. He passed away on April 8th, 2024 after an extended illness due to heart surgery. Beloved husband of the late Sharon Downer; loving father of stepson Brad Folk and daughter-in-law Lindsay Warren. He is survived by brother Stephen Wolk, sister-in-law Martine Banda-Wolk, niece Maria Wolk Bresnahan, nephew Jesse Wolk and many dear friends across the world. After meeting the love of his life Sharon in his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri they moved to Austin, Texas which became their adopted home for the rest of their lives. There they cheered on the Longhorns and celebrated holidays with close friends. His entire career was in real estate-first as a loan officer at Tower Grove Bank and then as a partner in the remodeling company, Wolnick, both of St. Louis and for many years as a real estate agent affiliated with Keller-Williams in Austin. As a young man he enjoyed photographing trains with friends. He often attended the Telluride Music Festival, went to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, and annually reunited with lifelong friends for cards and fellowship at Lake Tahoe. He was very devoted to all his dogs and cats and actively supported GoldenRatio4, an organization in the Florida Keys which rescues special needs golden retrievers.
