Ronald Eugene Anderson

Ronald Eugene Anderson was born in Portland, OR, on June 5, 1964, to Robert Norman Anderson and Joyce Anita Johnson Anderson. He grew up in San Antonio, TX, and attended the University of Texas at Austin on a full scholarship where he earned his BS degree in Civil Engineering and later his MBA at the UT Austin McCombs School of Business.

He had recently retired as Chief Engineer of the Lower Colorado River Authority where he was a member of senior staff since 2001. Previously he held positions with the Brazos River Authority as Senior Planning Manager and HDR Engineering as Project Manager. Ron was a former Director on the governing board and Audit Committee of Hosteling International – USA, an organization where he has served in various capacities for fifteen years. Ron served as volunteer and past Chair of the Scholarship Committee for Central Texas. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Anita Johnson Anderson, his sister Lesley Wolfe Heffner, his nieces Alex Wolfe Cromwell, Haley Wolfe Colley, Grace Wolfe Burke, Abby Wolfe, and cousin Leilanli Kai Keshet Love. He will be greatly missed.

A a celebration of life for Ronald will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Parkcrest, 5416 Parkcrest Drive, Austin, Texas 78731.
