Ronnie Dale Pryor Jr. was born into this world on April 4, 1977 in Odessa, Texas to Ronnie and Fletchie Pryor. Ronnie passed to his eternal home on Monday, March 22, 2021 in Austin, Texas surrounded by family and friends.
Ronnie grew up in both Trinity and Angelton, Texas. He attended Trinity High School where he was a notably talented athlete in football, track, and basketball. Ronnie joined Lone Star Baptist Church at a very young age under the leadership of Pastor Douglas DeBose.
Ronnie moved to Austin, Texas as a young adult in 1996. He made Austin his home and later found his wife Ms. Tonya Sonsteng whom he married on October 22, 2012.
Ronnie held positions at AutoNation Toyota and Chevrolet, as well as GMC Autoplex and Capitol Beverage Company. Ronnie was a dedicated employee and quickly proved himself to all of his employers, with a final career as a Sales Manager. Much of Ronnie’s energy was put into his career, where he achieved many outstanding awards, and his co-workers became close friends and some more like family.
More important than work to Ronnie were his five children; Jamarcus, Makenzi, Keona, Carter, and Eli. He put his heart and soul into his children, and always enjoyed making them laugh. Forever giving and devoted, he made sure his family was well taken care of and when in his presence were having a great time. Quick to help a friend or stranger in need, he would literally give the shirt off his back or the food from his plate. In his limited free time, Ronnie enjoyed shooting a great game of pool or taking an exhilarating motorcycle ride.
Ronnie was an inspirational, strong, wonderful man. The courage Ronnie portrayed during the last months of his life as he battled his biggest obstacle, as well as the strength and determination he presented was nothing less than incredible.
