Rose was born in March of 1919 in Axtell, TX to August and Agnes Morris. She was the fourth of five children. She felt a deep sense of loss at age 13 when her mother passed away. She entered Nursing School in Waco, TX, and met and married Adolph Bordovsky on December 25, 1942, who served at that time in the Army/Air Force. They lived in Germany after WWII, and at numerous air force bases in U.S.A. When her son, Robert Dean, was born she chose to leave nursing to become a full-time mother and homemaker. Nine years later her daughter, Gail Margaret, was born. Throughout the years, Rose became an avid Bridge player, along with an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish. She loved spending time with, and spoiling, her grandchildren and later great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking and no one who ever walked through her door left hungry.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Adolph Bordovsky; and daughter Gail M. Laney.
Rose is survived by her son, Robert Dean and his wife, Janet, her grandchildren Dr. Shawn Laney and Sheryl Laney Kubala; Brent, Jared & Brian Bordovsky, Jill Bordovsky Marler, and great-grandchildren Grace and Luke Laney, and Jack and Maggie Kubala; Adam, Ella, and Reid Bordovsky.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 12th of October 2015, at Sacred Heart Parish, 5909 Reicher Drive, Austin, TX 78723. Interment immediately after at Assumption Cemetery Chapel & Mausoleum.
